building communities of learners

Worked with the teachers from Phase 2 of the Get Active in the Middle Years project from all across NSW. These schools are about to launch into an action-learning project where high schools and primary schools develop a program of sporting activities together. Our contribution was to help facilitate the training in the use of the project wiki. This is really an opportunity for the Centre to widen its profile. it is amazing how many schools have never heard of us! still! Phase 1 schools barely used the wiki but one of the most important factors for ensuring its use is for the project leaders to be using it. Sue and the team from the Sports Unit seem more confident now and I am sure there will be greater adoption of the team wiki this time. What use would we have for this? was the common question. My answer: use it and you will see its potential, don't use it and you will never know!
