PD @ MACICT

It's always a little tricky to plan a day for your own staff. They are highly connected to the content and have a deep investment in the process and they can be very critical. The design of the day can be disruptive to everyone's time (which I am very aware of) so most importantly, it has to be relevant, timely and collaborative. I am hoping that today was just that. Everyone was well-behaved, we created considerable creative content, we reflected on current practice, made some collaborative decisions, relied on our collaborative expertise, practised skills in preparation for other core business, shared ideas about improvements to delivery through the sharing of professional opinion rather than through criticism, chewed the fat and tossed the coin. I am so proud of the team we have here, I was just sad that we couldn't have the whole team here. I would particularly like to thank Martin and Katy who delivered the Captivate session and James who delivered the new website session. Brilliant training from all of you! I was also thrilled to have Anne-Maree attend the meeting through VC. It can be clunky (and it was at times) and the presenters and Anne-Maree have to manage that. But it teaches us so many lessons about how to do this better. Thank you to everyone for your valuable insight! Thank you to Karen for your organisational expertise! And welcome to Ilana and Jessica! By the way, welcome to Rod too! He hasn't had an orientation, started last term seamlessly and he has fitted in like MJ's hand in a glove!
Did I say how great the staff at MACICT are?
